What does a Shopify store cost in South Africa?

Our builds start at R9,500 for a lean launch store, R20,000–R34,999 for a full end-to-end build, and R35,000+ for brand-led commerce work. Every quote is fixed before we start, and the full breakdown is published on our services page — no discovery call required to see a price.

How long does a Shopify build take?

A lean launch store typically takes two to three weeks. A full custom build runs four to eight weeks depending on catalogue size, integrations and how quickly content and product data come back to us.

Will I lose my Google rankings if I migrate to Shopify?

Not if the migration is done properly. We map every existing URL to its new destination with 301 redirects, carry over meta titles and descriptions, preserve product data and customer history, and monitor Search Console after go-live to catch anything that slips.

Which payment gateway should a South African store use?

It depends on your volume and settlement needs — Yoco, PayFast, Peach Payments and Ozow all integrate with Shopify and differ on transaction fees, settlement times and payout terms. We’ll recommend one based on your average order value and cash-flow cycle rather than a default.

Do you work with brands outside South Africa?

Yes — we’re Cape Town based and work remotely with brands worldwide. We already run a multi-market build for a client selling into international territories, and our Apex theme sells to customers globally in US dollars. Quotes can be issued in ZAR, USD, GBP or EUR, and everything from discovery to post-launch support runs the same way wherever you are.

Do you only build on Shopify?

Shopify is where we go deepest, and for most brands it is what we will recommend. But we also build, maintain and optimise on WooCommerce and BigCommerce, and we are happy to work on the platform you are already on rather than push a migration you do not need. What happens after the store goes live?

Every build includes post-launch support: 1 month on Launch, 2 on Growth and 3 on Commerce+. After that most clients move onto a monthly retainer covering updates, new features, performance monitoring and ongoing conversion work — but it’s optional, and the store is yours either way.
